Have not hauled Hazmat since b4 9/11. Lot differeent then. Anyhew passed my test and getting fingerprinted tommorrow. $150 for fingerprints? Ouch. I see if you change your state of residence, depending on wheree you move, you may have to retake hazmat test again. Hoping once you have fingerprints done, you don't have to have them redone. Also, can you use those fingerprints for passport or do you have to pay again?

    Thanks

No fingerprints needed for passport, but you can use those if you get a TWIC.

The fingerprints and background check are required every time a license with hazmat is renewed . A decent employer will reimburse you for fingerprinting , TWIC , and passport .
