Hi. I'm the newest of newbies here and I have a question. I live in KY and I'm thinking about training with Millis at their Ohio school. I realize I need to go ahead and take my CDL "written" test in KY. How would I take my skills test in KY? Does Millis provide the truck to test in or do I have to find some other way?

Go and become a KY State Trooper, and leave trucking alone! You'll say 30 years from now, ####, I should have listened to that guy! 35 years my friend, I wouldn't steer you wrong!

That's what I'm planning on doing. They accepted my application and told me to call them next month. I'm going to go ahead and take the written CDL in April. I'm also going to go ahead and get a physical (required for the CDL temporary permit).
kywildcat Thanks this. -
You would make an appt. At a state testing site in ky for a couple weeks after you get out of school and you and your trainer will be routed there for your test, using trainers truck and trailer most of the time the trailer is empty if it is feasible.

I appreciate it, db2681.
