Yea. I made a good check teaming. Truck never stopped. Except to eat, and fuel, shower. All in same stop. Something is wrong here.

I'd like to know where he lives in Central Florida. I know of several jobs or jobs that can lead to driver jobs.

I dont understand why you wouldn't be making anything even living in central florida running team, and staying out 8-10 weeks at a time. With that much time out it shouldn't even matter that you live in central florida. Have you considered buying your own truck? I made excellent money driving my own truck. Just dont think that you need to buy a $100000 truck, there are a lot of cheaper trucks in very good condition out there. My first year I made 47000 as a company driver, even only staying out 10 days at a time. I made a LOT more than that after I got my own truck, running more of a dedicated route that would get me home friday afternoon, and I would leave out sunday afternoon. My truck only sat still when I was taking my 10 hr break. ( and I actually spent a lot of time in central florida) WI to FL, FL to TN, TN to MN, and back to WI, and repeat If I got lucky, I could even take 1-2 of my 10 hr breaks at home during the week.

thanks to all who have offered advive. I do run team but cant seem to keep steady teammate they always quit or get fired or sitting in shop due to not being able to find that codriver who wants to make money. seems like everyone is just happy to sit in truck and play on computers. iI avg 500 a week as a team driver.....thats ridiculous. So I quess what I am really looking for is a solo gig where I can control my own destiny yet make decent wage. I live in orlando fl I have hazmat tanker twic card. working on getting doubles when i get back home next week to get me into those ltl carriers.

Ups Freight hiring teams all the time. Probably can clear 90-100k as a team. Also YRC R&L Estes Old Diminion run teams and make big bank too. Got to have a Hazmat and doubles. LTL linehaul pretty much where the money's at. I've made 60k my first year after my raise I'll be up to 67k on a bid or 75k running extraboard cause of a extra run but no days off. Bid I get 1 day off one week then two the next week. Sleep in my bed every other day. Alot depends on area if its busy too for LTL. If its a slow area then you might struggle. Just research ask questions on here or drivers in your area.

Me and my wife worked for Werner in 2011 for the better part of a year. Team driving and would average $300-400 a week take home , each. We were at max pay which is .38 a mile or .19 each. We did more solo loads than team loads. It definitely happens to an unfortunate few people. I suppose a lot of it depends on your dispatcher.

Go to indeed.com and type in CDL & FL. Over 2000 job listings, Local/Regional/OTR. If you have a year experience you qualify for at least 1/2 of them.
