Man, i was asking myself when was enough after the third excused when the truck will be ready? obviously you went for cheap labor. This is the reason i take my Tractor to the Rush Peterbuilt Dealer close where i live. Now you are looking at paying four times more!

    txnewbee Thanks this.

The guy is asking if he has any grounds to pursue legal action....he is not asking for a lecture on where he should have had his truck fixed people.

IMO you definitely have grounds to take legal action against that shop.....hacks like that need to be put out of business when possible.

You're probably right, It would make sense for all the time they took.

I'd be getting my vin checked for the engine serial number and check in all places possible (ecm, valve cover, block maybe)to make sure your engine is infact yours

This America you can sue anyone for anything !!! So just do it ! It is just a matter of fileing paperwork and telling the judge your side of the story .

You go to court waste a lot of time and money. You feel so good when the other guy doesn't show up the judge gives you everything you want. Then what happens? You get to spend more money and time filing a judgement against the other shop that you will never collect a dime on. It costs money to go to school and yes I did graduate.

He will lose in court because the shop that did the work originally offered to redo all the work even though he is NOT comfortable taking it to him.

    Doesn't matter.

What matters is whether or not he can prove negligence on the part of the original shop. If he can, he wins. If he can't, he looses.

Them offering to redo it means nothing.
