if you want to make money IGNORE the recommendation and grab the newest one you see. I never once grabbed the one they said because I'd heard they usually told u to grab one rd svc knew was broken. You DO NOT get written up for not grabbing their recommended and eventually your dispatcher stops sending those msg's

Yeah, funny I said I never see Tyson up this way then one pulled in to unload next to me in NJ. I would say volunteer for NYC if it pays more you get used to it after a few weeks of 3 times a week. AND as far as the chicken trucks arriving first just for a call from the Bell & Evans driver and he and the usually Perdue guy are off to PA already. I'm still being unloaded. Can't wait till the president of this company comes back to the farm (they do quarterly product source checks for humane treatment, organic standards, etc) cause I'm gunna unload. NJ won't take you early at all BUT was told in Monrovia, MD it is the locations discretion. ABSOLUTE B S. mega carriers get early morning appointments and we get screwed. Talked to the owner (wife's cousin) and told him they r holding us up again. Seems a certain large chain will be running out of organic eggs next week due to a "shortage of product to deliver"
consignees need to figure out when it comes to private carriers you either need it and take it OR someone else needs it and will take it. Especially on commodities in short supply. Best part about working here are the conversations that go
Consignee "we are behind and will get to you in a few hours"
ME "appointment is now not a few hours"
Con- "not my problem tough guy, wait in line like everyone else"
ME "let me call that owner quick"
Con " whatever"
call made here
ME "well bud, seems the owner thinks you don't need the product even though corporate purchasing said you did, make sure to call your regional manager they want to know why you received no eggs"
Con- "you can't just leave"
Me "my product, my truck, my time.... Has fun talking to regional see you next week"NotTheAverageTrucker Thanks this. -
