Hey man you can have it!
There's way too much politics involved in that line of work...Just talking to some of my buddies still out there hauling water earlier, and came to realize I don't care to go back one bit.

Ya the politics and side BS isn't fun at all. The work itself is enjoyable, least for a bit, I am sure it won't take me to long to get over it lol. Hasn't even been a month yet that I have been gone.

yes FTS International stands for Frac Tech Sevices. They have a bad name on how they treat employees but they do have crews fracing which is more than CalFrac(I worked for them to) and Universal who have a few pads running. Vertex is FTS and most of the trucks now have FTS on them. The water hauling side right now is a mess. I work a day or 2 a week and they say its all going to pick up but I dont know if I can wait it out.Not just me but a lot of people are going broke working in the oil field industry.

I saw a add for sand hauling o/o in PA,OH,WV. that are making $25000. to $ 30000. a month and thought that was high and I responded to their post and question the rate and never received a response!! The company name was Marcellus, so was just wondering if anyone knows what the rate is actually?? I know there's a lot of down time waiting on the pad but have heard that is a good thing as far as the pay goes . So would appreciate any clarification?
Thanks!!! -
I work for frac tech and can tell you we are quite busy,We have 4 crews fracking just out of our williamsport district.Been there 2 months with only a few minor issues, mostly miscommunications between management and employees. The 84 yard,as mentioned earlier,is from what I hear not real organized or to good in any aspect.Just what I heard. If you're interested in employment,go to ftsi.com and check it out.I've seen the high country sand haulers alot but never talked to the drivers.Best of luck.

Leave this Saturday to head out to North Dakota for orientation with MBI Energy. Will be hauling sand for them out of Williamsport, those of you that are local, they have their trucks parked at Taylor's Trucking on the Creek Road. Most of their work right now is down in WV and from talking to some guys there they sound pretty busy.

You'd probably be better to look at the areas of western PA like Waynesburg, Washington, Mt. Morris, or around the Morgantown area of WV. I just moved back to Florida after living there for the last 18 months, I was in Washington, PA and there was still work to be had around there. I know Stutzman Vac, and Highland out of Somerset had their trucks in Washington county, don't know how much work is available around the Somerset area.
