Sorry to hear you had a rough day ropestar, but that is trucking. You'll make up for it down the road on another load...

I myself try to stick to "local" now more than OTR stuff. But my local is a 300-400 mile radius of Chicago, and I can usually do $1k to the truck a day sticking to it on the platform side. Just have to keep myself from calling on the big money loads going west. I'm getting better at it LOL

Don't ya just hate when they throw great, wacking loads of cash at ya? Years ago, was setting in Tooele, Utah, looking to go home to Portland, OR and finish the year. Greg at SAM calls with a 650 lb, 1 pallet load to Vermont, paying 14 grand to the truck. Found the most direct way to Portland, via Vermont.

The March issue of Overdrive's Landstar advertisement states that LS is looking for refrigerated trailer, straight truck and power only teams with temperature validation experience. Does anyone know if this is a new venture for LS?

I thought it might be related to FedEx stuff.
The recruiter said they don't really do reefers ... That is what my wife and I have done. I will look into it once we are set up.:)
