I have an update for all on here .. i got into a company that seemed to tell me the truth about all they had to offer and etc up front .. yes i had to deal with a recruiter, but the recruiter was the former safety director .. told me everything i wanted to know upfront ... went to their orientation and for the last 24 days been on the road ... went home today ( easter ) for a 1 1/2 day break to catch my breathe a little then back out for about another month ... in the 24 days i have ran with them i have ran almost 11,000 miles which is pretty #### good ... they said i would average 3,000 a week ... when i know more about this company and if they keep their word on things i will be sure to let everyone know ... what i have seen since day 1 in orientation is that they stand behind what they say and what they do ... everyone is on a first name basis .. i had a prob on my 3rd run and by the end of that day, everyone in the office knew about it and was calling to help me out .. but what shocked me was another driver with the company pulled up, down pour rain and freeezing outside .. helped me out, was soaked to the skin when he was done, frozen to the bone and refeused to take the 30.00 i offerd him for helping me out ... met 2 drivers on my west coast run and they offerd their cell numbers incase i had any questions which was good as well .. if all keeps up for another 2 weeks, i will be sure to let you all know who i am running for ... i am sure they can use more professional drivers who have at least 2 yrs....

That was 5 yrs ago and that was Fischer trucking out of ft wayne , Indiana. I was with them for a little over 19 months total. They were pretty good company... since then i went to Knight and Werner, and now as of 3-22-13, i am with Barr Nunn....

Why did you leave?

i left fischer for personal reasons and didnt want the owner allan fischer to get in the middle of ... he was super nice to me when i worked there and didnt need to get in the middle of a personal issue i had .. i know he would have tried to take care of it , but he had enough worries owning and running the company, he didnt need my issues .. that is why i left the 2nd time ....
