1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

TBH I would go ahead a call them because websites are not always up to date on info or contains everything. The worst thing that can happen is a live recruiter says "Sorry but...."

Have you considered U.S. Xpress? I just checked their website and they do hire in your area as part of their solo driving area. They used to have their own school, but closed it. I don't know about 21 vs. 22 or 23, but a recuiter can tell you. They are not necessarily a "career" company, but for one or two years may be worth trading the b.s for the experience. They have dedicated accounts (Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Georgia Pacific etc) in many areas, you can check in on that possibility also. They generally don't pay as well, but you aree getting experience as well as being home every night, thus eliminating the cost of living on the road (meals etc.) Good Luck!

Thanks Deputy. Yeah only way I would want to go USX is if I could get on dedicated. The problem with that is I thought the experience would do you no good in finding a job that requires OTR experience??
