Help: Columbia Switch on dash???

    On my 'new to me' 01 Columbia, the is a switch to the far left of the AC controls. The lettering has worn off & I can't figure out what it is for.

    When I push the top of it - light comes on, can hear air line hiss & the motor revs up a little.

    Anyone know what this switch is for? Hope my description is good enough, only way to really describe it...LOL!!!

    Bunk override.

    Lets you control the hvac in the bunk too from the front.

    Bunk Override is next to the rotary temp controls on the left, fan switch is to the left of the bunk control.

    Yeah, there's 3 switches next to the AC controls. Middle is bunk fan, right is recirculate on/off - left is my mystery switch.

    Boardhauler - yeah, you might be right, was throwing me by hearing what I think is an air hose... sort of.

    well, pop the hood, have the engine running, then hit the switch and take a look at the fan.

    Not all trucks HAVE a fan switch.

    I know mine doesn't.

    Does the fan come on when you flip it? The air noise that you hear could be the fan solenoid dumping the air to the fan. It should only leak for a second or two. Air pressure should release your fan, when the fan engages, the solenoid cuts air to it and dumps the pressure in the fan hub.

    I know when I hit my fan switch, there is hardly any time lag before I can hear that fan roaring. I don't even notice any air sound from activation. 2013 FL Columbia with Series 60.

    I've never driven one that didn't have a manual switch, & that's going back to the first Bendix & Horton clutch fans in the 1970's. You must have some low dollar, fleet spec, plastic wonder special there.
