Where is everyone?

One of my stops is that place, will be there in two days.

 

I really liked the ride of my Volvo but way too many electrical problems for this ol' boy. The 2000 Pete 377 I bought at the Fort Wayne truck auction has turned into a real good truck for me and this one seemed to be a great deal. Thought I was going to have a pair of the 377's and not have too much into each one. Well I got upto Holland today and the great ol Pete needed a new 5th wheel, New front drives, One new steer, inside hood patched up, needed new shoes all the way around, and some other little problems but the guy wouldn't even come down $100 stinking bucks. Told him not this ol' boy and come back to the house. But I do like the Pete 377's.

 

Back from Orlando with the fam. I don't know how you crazy ######## do this for a living! When things go good it's easy, but when I 285 get's shut down for and hours due to a car fire and then you get hung up again in Nashville I just go crazy and I'm in a car. I have a better appreciation for what you go through every single day, but I now also think you are just a bit crazier than I did before.

 

It's all part of the job.



In at home till tomorrow night then I'm gonna roll on over to St.Louis then to somewhere in Virginia to deliver Tuesday morning 736 miles between there and St. Louis I think. After I leave there I'm bound for Marion Ohio.

 

Parked at the K&T Truck Stop in Faitmont, WV. I'll bet this place was really busy "back in the day"

It' s showing it's age. I think the potholes are older then I am.

 

That parking lot has sucked for years. I was in there 2-3 weeks ago? Don't remember exactly.

 

I'm going to eat breakfast here tomorrow morning. I'll report back if I am able lol

 

I assume your either headed to Pittsburgh or charleston? We always run up into Pittsburgh if I'm on that trucks stops lot

 

I have a stop in south NJ, then off to White Plains and Long Island. I didn't want to run the PA Tnpk.

 

Good luck on NYC. If your coming out if jersey run the turnpike into NY.

Don't be afraid to be rude about merging either. 3 good blinks and start merging.if you hit traffic best thing stick your truck in low and let the clutch out get some momentum abd knock it out of gear and idle of its that slow. Saves wear and tear on your brakes.
