If you really wanted to get to him, you can tell him that you will file charges on him for not allowing you to contact the company. That can be considered false imprisonment to the right lawyers.
What would you do?

So what does your husband say when all of this is going on? Nothing? If you guys are going to make it in this business, you need to learn to speak up. Otherwise, you get walked on. If something ain't kosher, you say "THAT AIN'T KOSHER." Round Two.
cetanediesel and nightrider57 Thank this. -
nightrider57 Thanks this.

From memory start writing down all infractions with time and/or date.
Then continue the log until you are able to get off that truck.

Get out, get out, get out! No way, no how. I team drove with an accountant that went nuts. Had 12 years in the saddle when He told me I'm a student. Get away as fast as you can. Call SAFETY at once. At least you two will be safe. Driving a truck, and being a trucker are two different things.

Is it a large company with a dedicated safety guy/girl or whole department, or like a single owner company?

These fellas are steering you right, no matter what steering wheel holder says he can do, call his hand on this one, and see the very small stack of coins behind it. It works had a fella that was on here who would call me to learn over the phone because his teacher was like this fella ....

I am taking pictures and my husband has called the company.
cetanediesel and Ghost Ryder Thank this. -
you and your husband should not be in a truck with a trainer. If he is sleeping in the top bunk while truck is moving thats a violation to company policy.having one trainee per trainer appears to be overwhelming if you read the forums.i couldnt imagine having 2 new drivers in the same truck.when is the trainer suppose to sleep
OPUS 7 Thanks this. -
I'm not trying to sound rude but it just baffles me that anyone would ask someone what they should do in this situation. Common sense dictates that you take action and remove yourself from this situation. Why people allow themselves to be treated, used and abused in such a fashion baffles me. I'm not trying to sound insulting but come on.....As soon as this individual started acting like he is, you should immediately stand up for yourself. And if he's making remarks about the guy's wife, in front of both of them.....shoot, it would be on right there.
Stand up for yourself and report this dude and remove yourself from the situation. I'm sure you have cell phones, put it on video and just record the audio as proof. But don't continue to keep yourself in that environment.Ghost Ryder, Bob The Dinosaur, pattyj and 1 other person Thank this.
