Just carry a can of wasp spray it has an effective range of 20-30 ft.and is leagal in all 48 states. It will put the stop to anyone trying to get in the truck with you fast, quick and in a hurry. A lot of co.don't even allow you to have mace or stun-guns.

Considering how many areas where CMV drivers are targets, think any CMV driver shouldn't be carrying?

We as citizens have the right to bear arms. This right is protected (not granted, PROTECTED) by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. Why should an individual's job be a determining factor in whether or not he/she should carry a means of self-defense?

It's more a case of who's scared of their own shadow, and who isn't.

    "Control".

And I've been jumped twice in truckstops by individuals who felt they had more right to my possessions than I did. According to you, I had no right to defend myself because I was a CMV operator. Guess my pulling a knife would be offensive then, huh?

I am not a victim. I will not be a victim just to make you feel good. If you want to be a victim, fine. Just don't expect me to protect you, then.

I carry a knife also,it's legal where ever I go. never said you couldn't defend yourself, just not with gun while driving a CMV.the only thing that offends me is people that try putting word's in my mouth and those who cant think clearly. it does happen out there not often and certainly not as often as home invasion.
