Hello everyone

I liked what I saw in a question posted on another thread so I decided to join up. I received my CDL at the end of February and am pretty much new to the whole trucking industry besides what I learned while I attended truck driving school.

I've applied to a lot of different companies, but it seems very difficult to find a job even in this industry due to my past. I won't get into it too much, but suffice it to say the lack of employment and problems stemming from my service to the military has created a lot of setbacks within the FMCSA. I'm addressing them as they appear and I keep hoping for just one company to give me a chance. So far, though, I've gone through three different companies (Orange and white if you understand my drift) where one actually said no problem but then said they wouldn't hire me due to one of my medications. That's a long thread and I'm just trying to introduce myself so if you want to know more, feel free to PM me.

Now, I've got about 5 different possibilities with the following companies: Arnold, TransAm Trucking, Roehl, Raider Express, and a local job with a company called Iron Mountain. The last one will only hire me as a Class B driver and I'm uncertain if that translates to "driving experience" required by the various trucking companies. Also, it isn't a cpm just but rather an hourly wage, but as long as I'm getting experience it is a possibility. I've listed the various companies in order of preference as well because Arnold starts out with an amazing .33 cpm while most of the others are in the high 20's. I'm not concerned about pay as much as just getting the experience though.

Regardless, I'm glad that this forum is here. I live in Denton, TX so I'm around a LOT of different companies and in an ideal location for trucking just due to this being a major hub. Take care all and drive safe.

Thanks for the various companies. I'll start applying to some of them and appreciate the heads up on the medications. Just curious, but is there a reason why K&B is in bold?
