A. Get off Craigslist ...
B. CRST may not be the best gig for you ... You have to be well aware of different aspects of trucking in order to be sucessful there....I think you may get lost in the system and ..... well start posting how that was another mistake made
..... Yeah..... Good luck

Good Luck with Crst. Post back were curious. As far as mileage I have a DD15 thats setup for 600hp, Its mileage at 1300 13th hole stays about 6.8 -7.2 and I run loaded 90% 79,900.
Watch the tire pressure I run 110 lbs, Try to get the tiing down on signals to avoids stops, take your time getting up to speed, and try running a gear thats not maxed out when pulling hills.soupsandwich Thanks this. -
It's not easy building a business without any customers or contacts that you know. You're lucky you have capital/income to keep you going. When you first start out you're basically feeling your way around in a dark room. You can try to vet them and credit check but some may fall through the cracks. Maybe look into a credit service. At least sign up with a reputable Transcore load board like Trucker's Edge or something like it. With Truckers Edge, I get a credit score and a `Days to Pay`history for the broker.
Thanks for posting your mistakes. Most people wouldn't. I`m sure you`ve helped someone.soupsandwich Thanks this. -
ill keep you guys updated #### 600hp makes my heart flutter thinking of that power..

You didn't know that in 2007 all the truck makers switched over to gas instead of diesel? Lolmp4694330 Thanks this.

Just remember to not let them run you. You have to pay attention and know what loads to take. Don't just jump at the first thing they offer unless you know it's a good thing. Learn to work their system to your advantage, don't let them use you to theirs. Talk to the oldtimers that have been with Malone forever, build relationships and soak up everything you can!
Best of luck!soupsandwich Thanks this. -
Yeah I believe they are already taking advantage of me gave me 1.25 from birminingham, al to okc but I got a new trailer out of the deal. Then deadheaded for a good load but not worth the 9 hours of deadhead. They gave me fuel to get there and that was it but I'm under a decent load now and I'm picking the rest from here on out.
