I was usually at the yard in SEM for a 10 1-3 times per week, and that's the same for about all of the other regional drivers. Glad I'm able to help. Let me know if you head out thihs way. Good luck. :biggrin_25525:

Hi Rodriguez, do drivers who are fresh out of school ever get hired with SNI as a regional or intermodal driver or do they require more experience for those types of jobs? I'd really like to land a job that gets me home every week if possible. Thanks for your input.

Typically a new driver fresh out of school will be put on regional, 48 states solo, or teams. The only intermodal market that is hiring drivers with no experience is Chicago. From whaty I've seen it is very rare for a new driver to get a jpb with weekly hometime, but it all depends on the current need for drivers where you live. Hope this helps.

    lasherman Thanks this.

Hello R. Rodriguez .My name is Mario ,I am a truck driver for 6 years and I live in Michigan. This year I plan to relocate in California ,Los Angeles area along with my family and Im browsing for jobs over the internet. Im looking for some local runs or regional work because I want to get home as often as I can ... Now , Im asking you ,which way can you earn more money with Schneider ,local or regional ? dry van or intermodal? Can you give some examples of how much can a driver earn weekly ,after taxes (net)? Thank you in advance!

mario schneider pays the best if you do tanker oilfield work. Dedicated runs with dry van pay the least but u will have better home time. Intermodal pays by the load and a small percentage by the mile like .26cpm I wouldnt like intermodal because ur always having to haul butt just to get enough loads too make decent money. Tanker is good too but u have less hometime unless there is a local position available. Like .4o-.43cpm with ur experience if it can be verified.
