Well the truck is now overdue for its B service. The past 2 weeks i have ran my butt off and have not gotten back to the terminal until about noon on saturday both weeks. I think last week it was even after noon. I usually get back friday afternoon or evening and hand my keys over to the shop and pick them up on monday. Well this time i went in and asked one of the mechanics if they were going to be there Sunday. Well he bit my head off. Asked me "Do you know what tomorrow is?". I said yes its sunday. He was like "You arent very religious are you?". I said drivers work on sunday. and when i was a mechanic i always worked on Easter or any other holiday but Christmas. I said my truck is about 2k overdue and he told me they might be able to get to it on monday afternoon. i said forget it then i will try next weekend. I dont know why this Easter is more important than Easters of the past but everyone is talking about it and more and more Christian people are getting defensive and even aggressive about it. I hate to tell you all but not everyone is Religious and even if you are religious that doesnt mean you are christian. I would have appreciated a "Sorry we are closed for Easter" instead of assuming i am not religious and biting my head off. I am just trying to keep Millis' trucks running good. Its not my truck. i am just a driver. if it were mine i would do my own B service.

    Oh and Happy Easter!!

He shouldn't have been so snippy in his answer, but you should also have written the truck up and let the service be done on monday if its 2k overdue.

Not defending inappropriate beheaviorby mechanics, because I have certainly witnessed my share, but they get bombarded so often by inconsiderate drivers who walk in and demand the shop bow down to them. Clearly the drivers are the ones who make the doughnuts, we are bringing home the bacon. The equipment is not ours, and when we make reasonable efforts to keep it maintained we shouldn't be met with resistance, let alone indignation (u must not be religious) give me a break. Like we wouldn't prefer to be somewhere besides a truck during holidays. We are all on the same team, its unfortunate that more mechanics are not with us. It shouldn't have to feel like we are having a favor done by getting periodic maintenance done on their equipment. All that needed said was, "nope we are not working Sunday, but write it up and we will get to it asap". We have to accept rudeness and sometimes even hostility from our customers, which most of us take in stride in the name of professionalism and good customer service. Its unconscionable to think we have to deal with our shops in a similar manner. I have been up and down both roads with our shops over the years, polite, courteous, effcient service (which is more the rule than the exception), to ignorant hostility and unacceptable delays. Que lastima.

Samurai, I know its not my fault, but, I will offer an apology for his actions. Not defending him, but, he might have been having a bad day is all for whatever reason. I don't know how he is as a person, but, I can personally tell you that not all of us christians always act like that and don't all think like that or respond with the same thoughts. None of us our perfect including actual christians. I know I'm not. He should have been more professional about it. Just keep your professionalism and let it roll off your back. Some people just don't think before speaking.

Samurai, Ive been with Millis almost 2 years and they have been very respectful......until recent myself and others have been noticing changes especially from dispatch. Example is I recently changed trucks and asked for my load to be sent to my new truck, they did, but it was a different load, so I inquired and was told next time send your driver code so this CRAP doesn't happen? This is my third truck and countless loaners while in for service and have never sent my driver code...........RUDE!

yeah i am not worried about it. it just took me by surprise. I just wanted to get home to my wife. Like i said i am usually home on friday or early saturday morning so it usually isnt an issue. It will get done. I think he was stressing because they had him trying to get one of the training trucks done so it could head to texas. I think some people just take holidays way too seriously. Since i worked most of my working life at places that were only closed on Christmas i just dont get into the holiday thing.

Based on boomers response I hope the company is not going to be negative towards drivers now. Probably just bad days for some people.
