Prime wannabe

    I know that prime gives you a meal card and room for the school but do they front you the money for the CDL permit and DOT physical. I appreciate any info you all can give me.

    No, you have to have about $150 in cash for those.

    Once you get through orientation, and are assigned to a CDL instructor they will loan you $200 per week for living expenses while you're on the road driving on a permit until get your CDL. After that you're hired, and are being paid training wages. The money advanced to you while you're driving on a permit is deducted at the rate of $25 per week until you've paid it back.

    Thx Ironpony for the reply but what I'm worried about is having the money to just get the permit, I know after your out on the road you can get the draw im just worried about before, I'm not workin been collecting unemployment and its run out so I'm pretty poor right now lol.

    As I sit here waiting to do the wizz quiz and physical. The only money I have put out so far is the 100.00 paperwork fee. It is a very good idea to get your permit before you get here. It will save you some time and aggeravation.
