Does anyone have one of the old Route Tools software disc? I have this program on my computer and love it. I do not want to get a GPS unit and have to put another gadget in my truck. Route Tools does everything I need except for one thing... it won't run without having the disc to start it. This program has been discontinued and Rand McNally has no discs available but there was a newer version that once it was installed you didn't have to put the disc in to run the program. I would take either one if anyone still has one of these discs. I'm sure someone had this program and upgraded to the new stuff and still has the disc layin' around somewhere. I have mine but it's broken and doesn't want to start up sometimes. I know sooner or later it's gonna stop workin' altogether. If anyone can help me find one of these discs please let me know. Thanks, Moose.

I've asked at a lot of places but do not know what "MATS" is.
-
since it's old and discontinued, you might google for a downloadable version.
it's out there somewhere. and quite possibly, the newer version you would like. if you know the version number. -
I've been trying to find it for the last 3 years when my disc broke. The sales rep at Rand said the whole program has been scrapped due to the GPS craze and there are no discs available for any of the versions that came out. As for downloading it I haven't been able to find anything about that at all. A few folks who know a lot more about this computer stuff than I do have tried also and came up empty. Looks like my best bet is to find someone like me who had it and tossed the disc into the closet when they bought a GPS unit. Maybe someone did.

I asked a few folks at RM to see if one is laying around.
MATS = Mid America truck Show. We had a driver looking for route tools also.

your right. there's nothing out there. but i didn't check the reference i emailed you about.
you might look at truckmiles.com. free websight. -
Thanks for the info, Mark. Maybe someone will have something I can use. I'll be watchin'.

We use the version 8 of the CoPilot Truck program to do the state mileage for any point-to-point trip now for the same function as we used RT for. But it is more expensive at $149, but it does a lot more also.
Sorry I couldn't help more, but I thought I'd pipe in what I know of the RT history anyway. -
Thanks,
MarkDieselboss Thanks this.
