I'd have to agree. The pipes on there aren't too big at least. Hate those ridiculous chrome stovepipes some guys run.

They do, but they aren't very common for some reason. The mail carriers like Sodrel and Eagle run Mack sleepers.

I'll always have an affinity for the LN trucks. To me the W900L is the best looking truck ever. The 379 Petes are a great riding and looking truck, just have to worry on your MPG as well. All in all though the advice given prior is more than solid, and I tend to have to agree. That truck is definitely green though! :) Another amusing thing, I hear all the time how hard it is to find a driver for a LN, that can drive it right. In CDL school I drove an old 379, tested in it and all. My first truck going solo was a 379 LN. Almost scary to think of a complete rookie running that truck eh? From there I ran a 387 Pete. It was the easiest backing truck I ever drove. Tons of space, liked the layout, good MPG. Only drawback for me was the 379 actually managed to store more crap easier than the 387 did.

All in all, I hope you find those perfect trucks for your company.

Its funny how the Unibilt sleepers could store more stuff than the the 387 Pete. I used to have drivers that had Volvos in my company ask me about space. Yes I didn't have the head room because it was a mid-rise sleeper but I had lots of storage because of the way the top bunk folded in half making a shelf for storage. I loved the 379 I had. Loved the narrow cab and ease of access to all the creature comfertes. I would give up my current job to drive a Peterbilt 379EXHD again, or Kenworth W900L. Guess I have to just keep my eyes open:biggrin_255::biggrin_25525:

Pete or KW 379, 378, W900, or T800. Dual stacks and dual air cleaners. Cat motor and 18 speed. I prefer Pete AirTrac over all suspensions, but all my trucking is vocational - on/off road. Chicken lights help driver morale too.
