How can the sun be in his eyes while reading his schedule?? Kinda one of them things.... "Uh the sun was out, the dog barked, it's raining in London, the mcrib is back..... But it's not my fault"

 

Sitting for the evening at a north I79 rest area just inside PA. Headed to Hugo, Mn 923 miles away by Friday at the earliest. I hope to have a load on for the weekend.

 

Should have been holding schedule up to keep sun out of his eyes.

 

Was at the the Houston city port to load. Got loaded up, and was heading out the main entrance. Made that right turn to head underneath 610 (where those awesome local DOTs set up) when suddenly had to hit the binders. It appears that the driver 2 trucks in front of me was carry a load of 1 ft diameter pipe. The top tier wasn't a full tier and 3 pipe slid out from underneath the strap and went into the back of the headache rack. Talk about the beginning of a very bad day.

 

Just had a Swift truck back in next to me. There is a big yellow "ATTENTION" sticker that reads "Tire chains only add additional 190 pounds of weight. DO NOT remove from truck". I wonder how many guys just threw them away that they had to have stickers made?

 

The Mcrib is back

 

At the truckstop here at mm 26 on I29 in SD. Headed back to Des Moines for an OD just going to KS. Only a 4 hour drive once I'm loaded so ill get it off tomorrow.

 

We go to the Nationals every year Thursday thru Monday, family friends run a completion eliminator car.
