Anyhow, you'd probably be better doing this research on your own. Start calling recruiters and tell them your backround. See if you qualify for employment. It's not necessarily federal regulation holding you back, but insurance policies. If you don't mind me asking, are you on parole?

I knew this guy, a while back that had a record. He sold narcotics to an undercover cop, and went down 4 it. While he was in prison he got a bachelors in business. Then he got out and got his CDL and his dad helped him get a job as a truck driver. Now, u no where this guy is? He owns his own trucking company in California. He's his own boss and he makes good money. Don't let your past determine your future. Get your foot in the door and u can do a lot. U just need to start somewhere. Good luck 2 u.

hell no I ant on parole...lol. just that the officer tried to attach a fleeing and eluding charge to my dui cuz he said I didn't pull over fast enough. It got beat down to a misdemeanor but still shows when ya pull my record. That's how they screw ya.

I applied with central refridgerated. I start with them in 2 weeks. Anyways if u have a DUI had to b 7 years old from the date u apply with them. Most companies are 5 years. If all u have is a misdemeanor I think u can get a gig. Just pay your way through a school and get hired somewhere. Just b honest. A buddy of mine has A felony and he drives for Schwann. Maybe they'll hire u there. Good luck man.

Prime pays $600 per week guaranteed before taxes and deductions for a PSD student driver after obtaining your CDL. You can figure 41 cpm after going solo in one of the company lightweight trucks, around 2400 miles per week... on the reefer side. Talking with some of the guys, they are making around $50k per year before taxes if they run hard, and the miles ARE there. You won't hear squat about being required to instruct or lease - that doesn't normally happen. If you've been truthful and upfront with the recruiters about your past, you won't have any problems at orientation.
For jobs down the line, it can help. But I have to tell you that the nonsense about "sitting around" in the reefer division is a bunch of hogwash. We run our butts off - and if you do get detained, you'll be paid for it. Makes a great chance to catch up on your sleep.
