    Hello Everyone.

I'm starting with Air Liquide in a couple of days and I was wondering if anyone here knew much about them?

I'll be hauling CO2 and I know that I will have to join the Teamsters Union.

I've been driving for 22 years but I don't have a much tanker experience and I've never worked for a Union company.

Thank you and have a great day!

Seems like a good job. Any of those companies are like airgas, praxair etc.

Just go to Air Liquide's website and apply. That's how I was hired. They must where they have openings.

It's not a bad job so far. Nice bunch of people. The money is good. Decent equipment.

    Love me some tankers!

    Take care folks.

I'll reply to my own thread. I've been at Air Liquide for 2 weeks now and it's a great place. I highly recommend checking them out in your area.

You will make good money here, no question about it. You are in the Teamsters so you will probably make even better money than I make at AL.

As far as tanker experience just take it slow on the curves and around corners, you'll be fine. I don't run CO2 but I do run LOX, LIN and LAR. This stuff does move in the trailer but nothing like gasoline or diesel does. It's a pretty easy job if you can handle all the nonsense that corporate dishes out. It will be better, at least I think in your case because you have the union to protect you. All company trucks have cameras in them except, from what I've been told, the union shops. You're at least lucky in that regard.

    Hi Guys.
Heres an update on my experience with Air Liquide so far.

I've been with the company about 2 months now and so far so good. I'm still getting used to tankers. It still feels really weird sometimes.

Loading and delivering CO2 is pretty easy once you get the hang out it.

I went through almost 2 months of training before I was allowed to go out by myself. Thats the longest I've ever been trained in 23 years of driving.

I'm glad I made the switch to tankers. It's fun and challenging and way different then dragging a van or flat around.

Also, Air Liquide is a great company with a great bunch of people and the pay is good.

    Take care Guys.

    hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew how long it take for air liquide to get back in touch with you after completing the Hogan assessment? I had a interview last Tuesday and the manager offered me the position but I had to pass the Hogan assessment. The recruiter called me on Friday and told me how to login, haven't heard anything back its been a week.

    thanks for the feedback
