The most important thing "out here on the road" is holding yourself to a high standard, don't be lazy, do your pre & post trips EVERY DAY! YOU are your own safety manager. YOU AND YOU ALONE ARE RESPONSIBLE for your CDL and all the rules that go along with keeping it clean. All the other things such as backing, shifting etc come with time, practice, AND I MEAN LOTS OF PRACTICE :biggrin_25526: and gaining experience. I'm new to this whole truck driving thing myself, I still have a ton of stuff to learn, but I have a few years on ya for life experience LOL good luck, don't stress just listen and work hard, you'll get it! :yes2557:

I have respect for anyone who can drive in downtown SF and not bump something or someone. Not any place I would want to drive for a long time.

In-N-Out is absolutely THE best hamburger in the world. Double-Double, animal style, with animal style fries and a Neapolitan shake. It says something about them when it comes from someone who personifies every picture that flashes through your mind when I tell you I'm from the middle of Mississippi, and I drive a truck for a living.

If you never get here and you want a burger that is very close to a In-N-Out, check out Five Guys, their burgers are just as good and they have locations all over the country. We also have another place similar to both called Habit, not sure if they are all around the country or not. All 3 make their burgers fresh and never have frozen meat. Fries at Five Guys are frozen. I dont really care for In-N-Outs fries.

All these answers are good:yes2557: the one thing I think is the most important, is to hold yourself to a high standard. You and YOU ALONE are responsible for your CDL. If you ever make it to Texas you can visit In-N-Out, they now (in the last year to year and a half) opened 2 locations. First is in Irving and second is in Frisco TX. You dont have to come all the way to California to enjoy them now.

WOW scratch that they have opened a ton of locations in the Dallas area.
