Black Horse Carriers took over hauling for Aldi's supermarkets back in December I think. I was considering applying there then I read a Craig's list post today by somebody supposedly familiar with them. This individual claims that they have cameras in their cabs to monitor the drivers. Is anyone familiar with them in general, and if so... would, or could they have cameras monitoring the drivers, and if so is this legal...?

I went in there a while back and picked up an app and dropped off my resume... The guy.. I'm assuming Hiring type or safety or something seemed like a real jerk... I'm down in Jersey right now doing JB orientation to work in Windsor locks... C&S... So they lose for the time being

Will let you know what I think. I am applying for the auto parts account. I will also let you know if they have cameras in the trucks.

i have cameras in my tractor. One facing the road, the other facing me. C&S is our rival and I think they have cameras in their trucks too.

Driver.... You could call them rivals... or you could look at them as brothers who know and understand because they are doing the same job... Black horse had there chance to have me first and they were rude to say the least. They had my resume... they.. if they looked at it would've seen that I had 4.5 years hauling groceries for Webster... they didn't want my mvr.. they said they'd run their own... my mvr has nothing on it... they didn't want my psp... they said they'd run their own.... they didn't seem to care that I had no DOT violations... My 1.75 million miles with no tickets and no accidents didn't seem to impress them... I guess they were more concerned that I hadn't worked in a year... but that didn't stop me from passing all my testing here... and it wouldn't have there... but in that year I invented and patented something that you or them might buy... so behind the wheel hopefully is only a temporary situation... I submitted my product to 4 companies last week... So Black Horse had their chance first.... you snooze you lose...

But if you choose to look at them as rivals... they'll be rivals that you'll never surpass... because C&S is now a behemoth of a company, and JB unfortunately is gobbling up everything in their path....

Mainly because I was being picky... I did not want anything other than home everyday, and they didn't turn me down they were just rude when I went in to get an app... at that time they would've known nothing about me... plus if they actually looked at my resume I went for a refresher... So are you saying that there is no value at taking a look at a driver with 19 years experience over 1.5 million miles with a clean csa... clean psp... no tickets and no accidents... ever... and worked 11 years for my previous employer... that's ok..
I'm employed now without a whole lot of questions... just had to supply documentation that I was receiving unemployment during the time in question... I didn't take just any job because I was getting $550 a week on unemployment... I didn't need to take what I didn't want.... I had certain companies bugging me all the time... but I was not going over the road.
