Hello.... Im driving for a local company hauling trash to the land-fills. And the operator at the site use radio to direct us must of the time but our company dont have radio so it allways a pain trying to communicate with them. We usually drive the same truck everyday but they might change once in a while so i try to take all my stuff with me. The trucks used to have radio because some got antenas on them and they have the space where there used to be. My question is should i buy a radio? And if ...

For something like that, you could just pick up a cheap little radio to take with you. It's been awhile since I looked at radio prices, so I don't know what the cheap little ones go for, but one of them would do the trick for you without costing much money.

If you really want ease of transport and you don't have to communicate very far (less than 3/4 mile or so), you can go to radio shack and get a handheld CB radio (battery operated) and not have to hassle with some having antenna, some not, and the hassle of r&r the radio itself daily. But I don't recommend that if you're in a normal highway usage scenario and wanting regular CB communication ability.

You may can find a cheap hand held radio that can easily be taken with you at all times

Get a standalone hand held radio to keep with you. Love's sells cobra's get it and rock on buddy.

Buy a radio. preferably a Cobra.If ya can get to a PC check the ones on e-Bay. Great deals.
