    yes on mpg's but it may be because of the shorter stroke crank I have now instead of the acert bottom end. but a diesel engine is more efficient at 200deg than at 180deg.

    You'd be surprised on how inconsistent them thermostat are. We tested some with hot water and they're within 20 degrees, it took 6 to get a pair that opened at 190.
