Not sure which states allow it (Texas might, you see them in Connecticut at exit 40 by the pilot), but it is a violation of Schneider policy to park on on/off ramps. Not that you don't see Schneiders doing it, but it is against the rules at Schneider. But if you do park on ramps don't park on off ramps, park on on ramps. Obviously any vehicles traveling on on ramps will be driving slower than the people that come flying by on off ramps.

I know Virginia really watches that. They will make you move even if you are out of hrs to do it in.

Nebraska doesn't allow it. +1 on the no parking on off ramps anyway.

Why park on a ramp anyway? You should plan your trips better. I have never had a problem finding parking in a truck stop no matter what time stop running. You must drive until you are completely out of time and dont have a second left. I dont know about you but I would rather stop some place where I can get some food.

Im with trans am pete..running back roads Ill stop on the on ramps as well. I run Iowa, Minnesota and the Dakotas. All though Ive never stopped in the dakotas but Iowa and Minnesota I do. As long as your are far off on the shoulder the law doesnt mind. Sometimes I MAY park at a truckstop once or twice a week but usually at the shipper or consignee....But to each their own.
