Haha. You are a fine example of why the industry has failed, you don't mind getting walked over like millions of other truck drivers.

Say I was a car salesman and took a company car to lunch and accidentally backed into a pole, would the car dealership hold me liable and make me pay out of pocket for the full amount of the damage??? Hell no. Get a clue and stop driving for 30k a year.

Do you have any idea how he operates? Who he drives for? Does he have his own authority?

    I didn't think so.

DOT the point you are missing is that this guy knew these things about the company and STILL chose to work there. If anything the OP is what is wrong with the industry. The guy mentions having things taken out of his check multiple times. How many times does this guy need to have his check ripped off before he quits? It would take once for me. A company messing with my money one time is one time too many as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't be surprised if the company told this guy in orientation what their policy was regarding vehicle damage. I'm always astounded at how many people in orientation just sign whatever is in front of them without reading it.

I do not drive for others, have my own authority and my family has a MC number older than many on this board so you have no clue.

You would be a perfect used car salesman

I worked in car dealerships for 15 years and I can most certainly tell you they would either pay for it and or get fired.

Just for the record I was not in sales.

You must do things different in your parts, I worked at a dealership to and nothing happened because it was an accident.
