Thank you Sarge, I'm glad to hear that! I'm still working on it, it's gonna take a bit lol... I'm expecting it to be around 25 - 30 pages long altogether, including some stuff the student should read when he's not being taught something. Kind of a "stuff the truck driving schools don't tell you" kinda thing... You know, like that you CAN crank a trailer up high enough to let the kingpin slide over the fifth wheel, crashing it into the tractor... No one told me that lol.
I mentioned to my FM in one of my messages that I was looking to be an instructor once I had my time in, he didn't comment on the part really, but he's a pretty quiet, straightforward guy. I've got to fix my numbers anyways, and my 1 year anniversary solo is not until June 20th. I'm well on my way to fixing my numbers though, now that my fuel issue was fixed and I'm very conscious of my idle time, now just gotta get the miles per day, and that appears to be changing drastically now that I asked about it.

NLR is quite beautiful! Hiked about a mile or so from the campus and took these. Wish I had my real camera!

jxu417, where abouts in Ohio are you? I'll be relocating back up to Western Ohio/Eastern PA after I get all settled. My kids live in Pittsburgh but so does my ex so I'm trying to stay about an hour out or so. I'm kinda curious where you think a good spot would be. I've heard mentions of GM in Lordstown and Butler. Any others that are consistent with Mav?
jxu417 Thanks this. -
I live in Troy, OH which is about 20 minutes north of the I-75/I-70 interchange north of Dayton. Its a really good area to be at, especially for my division. If you locate in Ohio do not be surprised if you someday are approached to run the PLD account. I don't think the other divisions (RAT,US, and LNG) are ever in the Butler, PA area, but we are there every week loading AK Steel in Butler, PA and it goes over to Frankfort, IN. We get some loads that take us up to Lordstown, OH sometimes, however we go thru that area ALOT on the OH turnpike on our weekly load from the Tin Mill (USS) E. Chicago, IN that goes to Nextech in Pittsburgh/Turtle Creek, PA. Honestly, if you are located anywhere within the Chicago-Pittsburgh-Nashville area you are prime real estate where Maverick lanes are concerned, and right in the middle of that "triangle" is Ohio.....

Not sure about the others but Hubby is in RAT and we go to all the places jxu417 just mentioned. Actually Butler and Pittsburg(turtle creek) a lot. Just at Nextech last week.
jxu417 Thanks this. -
Yeah, Nextech is a busy, popular spot. I am there as much as 3 times a week sometimes.

Now I just gotta move. Again. Lol

anywhere in OH fairly close to 75, 70, or 80 would be a good spot.
