Craiglist...''STRICTLY PLATONIC''.I allready have 13 woman that answered my add and they are real.I asked them direct questions that only people in the area would know. They want to go hiking and walking...
5 of them gave me there phone numbers allready and 2 of them live 1 mile from me..
I just want to be friends with them and enjoy a healthier lifestyle..I am not really ready for a relationship. But they say the best relationships start as friends. So you never no..

I agree it is very hard to find the time to make yourself healthier so you have to make it a priority. I have been getting in the habit of parking the truck at night and immediately going on a walk, then taking care of business when I get back.
Another way to look at you being healthier is that you want to be more athletic. Athleticism is broken down into six components:
1) Endurance~ Do your walking, running, biking....basic cardio.
2) Speed~ Do or work up to doing sprints or strides. They burn calories.
3) Flexibility~ Develop your own flexibity routine and this can be done in cab usually.
4) Balance~ Stand on one foot, touch toes while on one foot. Add weight as u get better.
5) Explosive power~ This is where plyometrics come in. Light plyos are jumping in place, on a
Step, off a step. Work up to this as injuries can occur.
6) Quickness~ Different than speed. This would be side to side line drills, etc.
Flexibility and balance are easy to add to your workout routine and sitting all day makes these really deteriorate. Although
being athletic is different than being healthy you are healthier if you are more athletic.
I dont deliver til tonight. Off to walk and explore this little Alabama town.SheepDog and landstar8891 Thank this. -
The problem with the truck stop built workout rooms is they are placed right in the open view of everyone. This is my opinion but I think this deters many people from going in and working out in a room with windows like a monkey in a cage for all to see. I went into a couple of them to see if the machines were even functional and drivers were in there sitting on the bikes waiting for showers lol. I of course cracked my usual smart remarks and got a groan sounding noise from the potbelly drivers, this is the attitude of many drivers towards fitness I've run into.
IMO a gym is good for motivation, testing of new weights/equipment, and general atmosphere. You can do all your exercising in your truck if its a decent sized sleeper, if not then outside. Then of course if you need a trainer to learn proper form they can be of help, IMO they are just a money grab though. I carry 4 kettlebells myself, do calisthenics, yoga in my Cascadia.SheepDog and landstar8891 Thank this. -
I was on a great role when i took 2.5 weeks off..Now i am doing a 6 day turn and it is 3600 miles..I can only be honest,i fell apart and got LAZY..
I am smoking more, eating a bit worse and not doing my walking..I can not believe i lost ''motivation'' as soon as i went back to work in the truck and on the road...
..What the hell is wrong with me.?
SheepDog Thanks this. -
Today i am walking 3 miles and it will be with a woman i met last week.Wish me luck.I am meeting her today for a walk around the water. She is my new walking buddy and she seems serious. We will see if she is serious.Regardless i am still walking and losing weight.
I lost 7 lbs and feel great.I am getting stronger again.I also am doing alot of yard work and lawn mowing,so this has helped alot..
