Ok Herman Cain had the 9-9-9 plan well I want the 2-2-2 plan. Im buying a truck and leasing on to a company in june. Am I just crazy to think I can find a company that pays $2 a mile run 2000 miles a week and be off 2 days on weekend hence 2-2-2. I done a 3 year lease at swift and walked away afterwards but had to stay out 12 days I was burnt out. I just want to get my miles and get home weekends to spend with the family. So which is it dreaming or doable?
Am i dreaming

If we are talking about a flatbed I would not do a single load for less

Beleive it or not i Haul Trash from the transfer station to the landfill. 430 miles roundtrip a day, home every night, and not quite $2.00 a mile but still not bad at all.

What is a 9-9-9 plan?

Google : Herman Cain. 9-9-9 was his idea to solve the economic problems in America.

burnt out after 12 days on the road? do you mean 12 weeks?
-
Not to say they are not out there, but I doubt you'll find someone to lease on to that will fall into your 2-2-2 plan. Depends on what your looking to do also van, step deck, refer??

I think he meant 12 days. He would probably be better off looking for a local hourly paying setup. Could do $23.00 per hr home every night and weekends. This way he won't have to do truck maintenance on the weekends either.

Yes I meant 12 days out at a time training for swift for 4 years. The student and I were running around the clock. If I run more than 2000 great I really just want weekends off. when I leased before I could get by with 3700 gross a week but it was pretty easy since I got all miles the truck traveled. Figured 2.00 a mile would give me a cushion.
