and from what I read that rule doesn't say it only starts at 0100, just that somewhere in those 34 hours you had to have two periods, so say 7 p.m. One Night, 34 hours later would contain two periods at 5am you would be good to go... now yeah if you started your 34 hour in that 01 to 05 time frame you would be sucking

Also, you can only have one (1) reset per seven (7) days.

What would suck is if ya went OFF DUTY at 0530hrs say on July 10. Your reset starts at 0100hrs on July 11 and continues till 0500hrs on July 12 .... Thats ridicules!

I just started at May. Got my license in January, spent Feburary with a trainer, and soloed in March. I am really interested in the lease program with May but I am a little hesitant. The lease op guy is a real jerk and seemed to try and sell it a little too hard. Seems it a path people would not go on there own, but something he has to force people into. He claims that the 2009 Pete with 420K will get 7.1mpg on average, I think that is crap, my 2012 Pete is averaging 6.2-6.5mpg which is a huge difference after 10000 miles. Also, I have heard that companies will give loads to drivers until they are almost to the end of there lease and then stop giving them loads. Anyone have any expierence on this? Or should I go to an owner op board?

I won't talk you out of leasing a truck at some point in your life. What I will do though is highly, highly suggest you hold off on that. You just started out and there is a ton to learn. More than the payments and MPG numbers to consider. You have to really look over that contract, ask about balloon payments, what the escros are, fuel surcharge, etc. It would be worth the cash to have a lawyer look it over. Then you have the matter of the truck itself. Make sure to get a dyno and pay for a mechanic to level 1 it at the least. As far as companies doing a choke out on your miles towards the end of the term, it's possible. Best to save up cash to prepare for that.. if you make a paycheck to begin with. All in all though, please, please hold off a while to lease or purchase a truck. Give yourself time to really learn the trade and make sure it's for you at least 5 years down the road. You will be much better off. Hope this helps and good luck.
