Denver regional jobs with frequent home time ?

Do NOT take what a recruiter is telling you is going to happen, as "FACT." You may or may not be able to get something that gets you out 5 and in 2. It will even be tougher to get one where your 2 at home, is the weekend. Keep in mind, that in this business, there are so many variables, it is tough for a company to actually keep a promise. Now you may get lucky enough to land some type of dedicated run where this works out. But don't bet on it.

I'm not bad mouthing Schneider here. I have no experience with them. I'm talking about the industry in general.

Also, you might talk with DATS in Aurora. Don't know if they are hiring or not, but it doesn't hurt to check. They are not the "greatest thing since sliced bread," but they are better than the run of the mill trucking companies that I have seen.

UNFi = United Natural Foods Inc., deliver to Sprouts, Whole Foods primarily, with some Kings and Safeway. Colorado, Wyo., New Mexico, think they require 3 yrs exp. though.

 

Their website says one year for a posting of "Class A CDL Driver". There's a delivery driver slot (also Class A) in Aurora listed on the website, which doesn't state the experience requirement. Another posting for an Atlanta job only says they "prefer" one year of experience.

 

Hey striker, does Kings still have their own warehouses in Denver, or do their deliveries now go to Kroger down in Fountain?

 

The Kings DC out on Aurora was a Great Wide deal if I recall correctly.
