Ok I was just wondering if he did since we just did annual bids. I finally got mine back, so hopefully he got one also. That extra board is rough.

I had a bid for five minutes yesterday. Didn't take long for some grumpy old guy to take it because he was mad I had it

Yea thats how our senior drivers are, they cant stand it if a junior driver has a bid and they dont. Luckily for me I finally have enough seniority to keep a bid nobody can bump me off this one.

No one want exit because its a 7am start time sun-thurs, for sun turns. Meaning you go to a few close by terminals instead of driving far to one. I've done up to four different terminals in a shift. It was about 372 miles for the day but made my money on my hook times. No one wanted it because a lot of guys don't like building and breaking sets all day and they want to drive at night to beat traffic. I didn't care about any of that, just wanted the bid so I can get work. The guy got mad and took or from me.

The guy below me might get our longest long turn which is to Burlington,VT. 265 miles each way, with a 100 mile two lane highway then the last 50 miles is all back roads. Nobody wants that, I know I don't, so he can have it, he told me he liked it so that's good at least

What's up guys? Been so busy I haven't even wanted to turn on the computer. Still no bid for me but I'm up a couple of more slots on the board, so next time I should be good. I have been working really hard. Getting all the miles they can throw at me and my phone is always ringing! It's like we are short on drivers. They've been trying to hire guys like crazy down here. Where did all this freight come from? It wasn't like this last year.

Reddaway driver, glad you got a bid run! I'm kind of enjoying the extra board to be honest. I'm getting more miles than the bid guys right now.

Yessir being #1 or #2 on the extra board is a good place to be. I was #1 this last winter and worked my rearend off. Were short drivers here too, supposed to be hiring more. Thats a good thing cause last winter was slow. Well cool35 you'll get a bid soon, just hang in there.

Now that Fontana has become a union shop I have to reconsider coming on. I was offered a line haul position back in the fall but at the last minute they decided not to hire anyone. When I left the pacific northwest I had 17 years in with local 162 and would like to get the additional years in so I could pull my full retirement. I see that Fontana is hiring for line haul so I think I will ty and get in. Can anyone give me the line haul sups contact info, when he called me I took his name and number but dont know where I put it. PM would be fine. Thanks for any help guys.

I cant tell you how many reddaway sets Ive been seeing lately. Especially last night, a crap ton..and in NV lots of triples... Good for you guys.

I couldnt work there as it would be a $4/hr paycut for me and the trucks are too old.

Are you guys getting new trucks in CA to meet the emissions laws?
