Need HELP buying new truck both 07 T600vs 386

Cummins was junk too... IMO buying any truck 08-10 is a crap shoot. I had three 2010 KW T660 with Cummins and they were nightmares until I got my 2012 KW with a Cummins. Honestly I heard less about the Detroit motors with emmission problems then the Cummins and Cats between 08-10. If you can afford an 2011 with the DEF then I would go for that IMO

 

They are all a crap shoot. I had a brand new Volvo D16, broke down all the time until it lost a piston & liner. I've seen ISX's 2011 w/DEF have to be completely rebuilt. VG Turbos have problems Cummins/Volvo both are Holset. Your best bet, get it with a warranty, then re-up that warranty to cover major components, injectors, & the turbo. Emission components kill these engines, Cummins knows this, probably why they have introduced a egr-less engine, but not for the states unfortunately.
