I love my rack and my wife's too!
I have a cabinet in the centre and two chain racks on the side and find it so handy for storing the chains and binders after unloading. I have a side box that I keep my remotes in and that is a bit of a pain when they get tangled. I keep my straps in a box on the drivers side of the tractor and I would change that if I could. I usually throw my straps from the passenger side so running around the truck soon gets old and I haul different trailers depending on load and destination.
I'd trade that Volvo on a Pete or KW so you look like a real flatbedder!! LOL
hope you enjoy flatbeddin'.

I just put a new headache rack onto my Columbia.

To get it on where it wont hit a trailer, I removed the full size muffler and heat shield, then went with a muffler insert and some 5" straight tubing. Sounds a little deeper in tone, but not obnoxious at all. I Ca legal too reading the literature that came with the muffler.
I can now move the slider up to where the kingpin is in the middle of the drives, without hitting anything.

Have a question? I have 3 of the 4 u-bolts installed for my headache rack the problem I am having is I can't figure out how to get 4th u bolt in place cause apu unit is so close to the frame can anyone help
-
Can you use a spacer on the bolts that hold the APU unit to the frame to move it out further?
-
Not without a pic.
You bumped an old thread. For shame. -
Nothing wrong with bumping a thread IMHO. It at least shows the posted attempted to resolve a problem before just making new threads about every subject that has been beat to death.
Tazz, you really need that 4th U bolt mate. Eith by relocating the U bolt to where it will fit around the frame, or by spacing the APU slightly to allow the U bolt to get between it and the frame. I make all my own brackets, so its easy for me to make whatever I need etc, but when using off the shelf parts, it can be a challenge.
There are also "problem solver" headache rack mounts that could be investigated too.
Here is one from 4 state trucks:
