Alright, here's where I'm at... My wife is transferring to Traverse City, MI, and I'm just about ready to finish up my class a CDL in a few weeks (using a borrowed truck). I already have my class b and am upgrading, and adding tank, hazmat, and doubles and triples. All my class b experience has been with busses so far - both school and charter.
So, I'll be looking for a company that hires folks with no experience and that run out of Michigan. Any suggestions? Thanks!
btw, I currently live in Minnesota and will have my mn license when done with this. Any issues with transferring my license?
Looking for advice

Here's companies to check; plus ignore "experience required" by any companies & apply anyway. Check Careerbuilder website for trucking jobs available in MI.
Prime (tanker division)
Schneider (tanker division)
Falcon Transport (flatbed & van)
NTB (reefer servicing Meijier stores)
Foodliner (tanker)Tonythetruckerdude, moose97 and mje Thank this. -

Thanks for the quick replies guys! My wife finds out the timeline of her transfer this Friday and I take my class a road test on the 26th (trying to shake the cobwebs of all the stuff I have to say for pretrip from back when I passed my class b
). Then I'll likely stay back in MN for at least a bit while the house sells. Just wanted to get some feelers out there... Thanks again!
critters Thanks this. -
My question is why do you need all those endorsements? Are you planning to be hauling double and triple tankers loaded with concentrated Hydrochloric acid or something? Or are you planning to pull a dry van like most everyone else?
