LOL! Thank you to all of you women and men drivers out there. I am a wife of a trucker so probably shouldn't even be on here but it is a very informative website nontheless. My hubby was at a truckstop and followed what he thought was a guy into the bathroom. He said the tell tail signs were, long hair, baseball cap, huge belly and jeans falling down with crack showing. Once he got into the room he said, "she turned around and he was like, holy cow I thought you were a guy." He then walked out.

I started out back in 1999, and there were a lot less lady drivers then than there are now (I'm not out there any longer), and MOST of the guys treated us gals like they would their mother/daughter/sister. There's always gotta be one idiot in the crowd, but they will get shut down quick (I am pretty quick with that myself though!). As others have said, pay attention to what's going on around you, park in well lit areas, and carry a tire thumper (if they are still available), or something else if you wish. Carrying a bit of an attitude is usually enough though.
Oh, avoid West Memphis completely. Just tear that city right out of your atlas. That is one of the worst places out there.mje, Chinatown, NavigatorWife and 3 others Thank this. -
Giggles the Original and mje Thank this.
