    I39 @ I88 BAd storm rolled thru this morning around 7:20, IHad stopped @ exit 27 for a coffee and continued on about 20 minutes later, when I got to I88 one of the truck's I had passed earlier that morning was laying over on its side. had goose bumps and watery eyes thinking what could've been. I might have been a head of it and was loaded with almost 48,000, I feel someone was looking out for me

    It has been a tough few days around Chicago. The accident south of Chicago, this one and a three truck accident south of Rockford two days ago. The knee jerk reaction will be more conspicuous enforcement on trucks.
    Many of the accidents are drivers not giving themselves enough time to react. Take care drivers and get home safely. That driver you are following may be on his first year of driving. He or she has their hands full looking after their own truck without worrying about the truck behind and may not be driving defensively. Watching a truck cab being pulled out from under a trailer really gave me reason to analyse my following distances.
