Put our radios together, Mine receives well, but don't transmit very good!

These cheap inverters simulate a sine wave by throwing together a bunch of square waves. Square waves are easy to make from DC; unfortunately, they contain a whole bunch of harmonics (multiples of their frequency) in them. My bet is that your inverter has a plastic case, and no metal shielding inside.
The ground stud might help, if you ground to the frame with a short piece of braided ground strap.
I suspect that you're simply going to have to choose between the inverter and the CB at any given time. -
MsJamie and VinTech are dead on this one.
I had the same problem with my large inverter.
One of these will solve the problem but get expensive.

Worked late tonight so hope tomorrow I can work on it. I did a little test and found out that when I unhook my antenna the noise goes away so the inverter is Deff throwing white noise at the antenna and not a ground problem. So deff time to work on getting the inverter put in place lol.

What do you run off the inverter? Can it be left off while moving or do you have a fridge hooked up?
When i turn mine on i get at least 9db on the s meter on my galaxy...it drowns out people talking. -
Yea my fridge is the main reason the inverter is on. One thing im wodering is it actually my coax or antenna picking it up. Hoping to have time to mess with it tonight.

I messed with different grounds and shorter power cables, fused both sides and everything on my Power Bright inverter.
I never had any luck getting it from messing with the CB and television.
It stills throws the meter on the CB to about 9 to 10 with white noise.
I knew i should have spent the extra cash on a good one but live a learn.
I like the one with the digital readout of watts and voltage that i have now but it does have interference with electronics. -
I'm going to try taking it out of the truck and putting it on the cat walk an running an extension coard inside just for a test to see if being out side the cab helps. If it does who knows might just build a locked box and keep it on the cat walk.

Ok so I just found out on accident that if I lat my inverter up side down the white noise goes from about 9db down to 7db. I'm guessing this is caused from the metal bottom.
