Most of us probably would have done exactly what you say packard. Part of it is the fact that we do not expect someone to walk behind our truck.

48 I agree with the bold red above!! 48 I always enjoy your input on here, Thank You.
If we all GOAL every time, we'd need an additional 100000 drivers to cover the amount of time it takes each time we do it and do it right, Being a familiar dock I bet she just whipped it like always and then he woke up!,

Moral of the story don't take up residence at an active dock plate. :biggrin_25513:

I doubt that the story ever comes out unless it is extremely newsworthy. I would be interested to know what happened and why, we just don't know from the information given.

Well, its unfortunate that this accident took place. But, let us not jump to conclusions. Let the facts bear out the truth. One person unfortunately is injured with possible life threatening injuries, while I am sure the other is experiencing mental trauma as well.

This could have happened to any of us. Some things happen even with the best planning and intentions. And as for Saint Walker a operation for crainialrectalitis is in order. This would have happened regardless of wether the driver was male or female, just happens that she was female.

Lets just wish both a speedy recovery.

Not saying I do GOAL every time even with my non CMV (which is all I drive currently), BUT saying we probably should, just trying to learn from this accident. Saying "the driver took all necessary precautions" is not true if GOAL didn't happen is what I am taking away from this.

Does that trailer have a roll up door or barn door? With a roll up, you don't have to walk to the back of the trailer. Barn doors you are back there and are able to scope out the scene before you make the final approach. Just wonderin'.....

I like to GOAL. Walking behind the trailer and getting a look at my approach and set up is like setting up for a putt to me. I'm pretty in to golf though.
