Wifi solution for truckers

    I see that many drivers use truck stop wifi ??? why?? its crazy expensive , its limited and its only available at truck stops.

    I have the best solution for this.

    The last 8 months I have been using hotspot from my phone. Not sure about other companies but Verizon Wireless has hot spot unlimited internet for 30 $ per month.

    Anywhere where you have 3 g service you just turn it on and connect your laptop to it . You can also have more than one device connected at the same time :)
    I have been using verizon for the last 5 years and they have the best service and 3 g coverage in the country .

    I have unlimited on my phone. My computer air card is limited to 5 gig. But, there is a way to use the phone as a wifi for the computer.

    i thought so too and i have verizon
    i have a mifi pricey but i can watch netflix and be on here a lot :biggrin_25523:

    To the guys that have unlimited is it a fairly old plan that was grandfathered in? I was told they aren't doing unlimited plans any longer.

    I have wi fi on my phone and I have a 4g hotspot. Neither one is unlimited but my plan is fairly new.

    Mine is grandfathered. When I upgrade it stays the same. My wife's is not.

    Thats how mine is.

    One nice thing is they allowed me to combine my phone and hotspot gigs so I don't have to worry about going over on one and having time left on the other. I never even come close to going over my alloted time.
