Good grief, people... The person is gay, not carrying the deadly Bubonic Plague! What flippin' difference does it make if his trainer knows or not? Why do people automatically assume because a person is homosexual that they are these sex-starved individuals that are gonna hit on every person that comes within a 5 foot radius of them? Do all heterosexual persons do that? No....
A person's private interests are just that - private. If you happen to get a trainer who is offensive - speak up! Explain to him or her that you are there to learn and would prefer that any negative and/or derogatory comments be kept to themselves. If he/she continues - contact the company and request a different trainer.joshuapowell61, quetzalcoatl and double yellow Thank this. -
You're better off leaving that part of your personal life out of the conversation. If you wanna tell your trainer you're gay then wait till your last day of training.
Tonythetruckerdude and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
I dont think it matters to most trainers if your gay or not alot of trainers are ####### all the time it doesnt matter what you do lol
So i wouldnt worry about that. -
I don't like you because you have a fast trk.I'm jealous,mine does a mean 57,lol.
critters Thanks this. -
truley hope you get an open minded trainer. like I said you deserve the respect, who is anyone to judge your life style. but you may need to be open minded that they may not want hear about your outside life to much.TRKRSHONEY, MJ1657 and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -
I can see it now an employer asking employees their sexual orientation. Smoker/ nonsmoker, religious preferences? These trainers are spread out across the country. Many students stand in line waiting on a trainer. The trainer drops his graduate off, picks up a new one and he his gone. It doesn't matter gay or not. Training can be a miserable experience for some. The train comes by, you jump on and 6 weeks later you jump off. Companies aren't in to match making. You are not there to make friends. You are there to learn the basics so you can get on your own. If you like your trainer, fine. If you don't you tough it out unless it's totally uncalled for. This is where military experience comes in to play.
Do you think I liked being trained by a 65 year old woman and the truck reeked of urine? Not my ideal trainer but I made the best of it. The bottom line I went in with an open mind and it wasn't that bad. 6 weeks isn't that long of a time.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.
