if that's all that is running....no....but don't take my word for it.....maybe every 3-5 hours turn the truck on for a bit......I never had an issue when I just had a 400 watt inverter and my coleman cooler plugged in and didn't idle....but every truck is different and alot depends on the battery strength. Alot of trucks have an automatic feature that cuts power when the batteries get low......you are going to have to experiment

It might if you have weak batteries . But a good set of batteries should be ok .

I've used a plug in cooler and it never hurt my truck batteries..

your screen name is making me hungry for spigetti, lol.

Yes they can especially if it is cold outside and or your batteries are nearing the end of their lifespan. If your Truck has a low voltage disconnect it should kill the auxiliary power shutting off the cooler and leaving the batteries with just enough power to start the truck. If your not keeping anything really perishable in the cooler (like meat, cheese or milk) unplug it before you go to bed and plug it in while you are running. If you do that you will greatly extend the life of your cooler.

Yes they can, especially the batteries in the cascadias.
moosc and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
I have a Coleman Iceless cooler and drive a Cascadia. What I do is run it while I'm driving and when I shut down for my 10, right before I hit the bunk, I unplug it.
1. As long as it's not an excessive amount of time the unit is unplugged, the perishables should be fine. I know mine are and have been.
2. These types of coolers are not designed to run 24 / 7. I don't know how many times I've heard the coolers are junk, worthless, the fans get noisy, whatever. I've had mine going on 9 months and it's still going strong.
And finally, for what it's worth, as long as you don't have several things plugged in and running while you sleep, my cooler has run all night with no real drain on my batteries. That's where the variables come into play - age and condition of your batteries along with other plug in amenities you may be running with the engine off.Giltner1 and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
Depending on the condition of the batteries & charging system ANYTHING that draws current can kill the batteries or drain them to the point the truck will not start.
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Order a wine cooler from culinair
I run that 24/7 For months at a time don't even bother unplugging it when starting the truck.
Keeps pizza rolls pretty tasty anything that needs to be frozen larger won't be a good option.
It freezes bottles of soda on coldest setting.
So works pretty darned good.
