Also they tell you orientation is 3 days but its 5 days with no pay and in a hotel with no transportation no place close to eat. And they dont reimburse for food or anything else. I dont post here often but I felt I had to warn people about Hogan. Think long and hard before chosing them.

I Work for Hogan. Been There over a year ( this time ) i Started there as a recnt drv school grad in 04-05 left mainly to take a local job back in my IN home town.. and because the implemented a rate freeze at the time .. so after almost a year i was still making only .26 cmp... after going to a couple other OTR companies Hogan was not a bad company to work for. there were some issues but there are always going to be issues no matter what companies you work for.. and as the companies get bigger the more issues there seems to be...

Alot of people dont even give it a chance they go to orientation then work for just a couple days or a week and Quit!!

you have to be efficient in your driving.. keep the left door closed as much a possible and update ETA's every morning.. if not you will sit more than u should have to waiting to get loaded and keep up on disp..

Hogan load Planners are not very efficient and any company of size is going to fall short in this area it is just impractical to have enough employees for it to work PERFECTLY... you can however make it work for you..

there are a lot of new trucks but hogan is one of the tops in maintinance... that is why when they sell those old trucks they dont sit on the lot long!!
any probs they are having right now with the new trucks are all factory Problems...

I have been Driving team it works for me even with slow weeks can still pull down a decent check
In my personal oppinion Hogan is not a TEAM company there even more inefficient than a solo... we get alot of solo runs just shortened time...

I solo'd this week (partner off for doctor stuff) carried over NO miles for the end of last week.. was off Fri 22'd SAT SUN, missed mon Waiting on partner.. and left out mid morn on Tues... Ran only till Fri afternoon got 2k miles and am off till SUN.. I missed 3.5 days of the week and ran 2k miles and never was in a rush ....

if i leave Hogan again it will be Because I am going for something different (I want to try other diciplines in trucking. Flatbed, Refer, Heavy Haul,, and May eventually O/O on own) but NOT because I am dissapointed

no none at all. i just left hogan today i got my miles in but im not partial to running a ne route so i left. i got some loads to the se but the runs in general are 70 corridor from kc to the east. trucks are still set at 63 all automatic fleet with a crappy apu. cant idle for more then 4 minutes then the truck shuts off. maint in the stl yard is a joke. i found it faster to have anything done at indy or kc. one good thing is i never sat for more then an hour waiting on loads i was usually dispatched before i ever got unloaded. 80 percent drop and hook. i was not on any dg accounts either
