Registering trucks out of state?

    Can anyone help.... I need to know if I register trucks in a different state and that state has sales tax do I need to pay that sales tax... this is new to me... thanks....

    Yes, you'll have to pay sales tax in the state vehicle is registered in.

    i'm not sure but i've heard idaho doesn't charge tax. you buy the plate for whatever fees.

    and it's also a one time deal. no yearly renewals.

    i know some guys that registered trailers in mt because of no sales tax and no plate renewals. but i don't know what all is involved in the process.
