Roehl pre-hired me today! My first pre-hire, and it is with the company of my choice. Most likely not something huge but hell I haven't even started my CDL school (Starts August 1st). I am really excited that I might have a chance to join Roehl as I've heard plenty of great things that outweigh the negative. So if you feel like posting hate, I'll just ignore it. Today has turned out to be a pretty F'in fantastic day with everything going on it my life, it seems to be getting better day by day. Maybe I am over-excited.. who knows, all I know it's a great feeling.

Cheryl was very nice as well, and answered all my question's I had. This might be a pointless thread, but I needed to say this as no one else is around at the moment to talk to. :biggrin_25519::biggrin_25519:

Congrats on your pre-hire from Roehl. I've also heard good things about them. I don't blame you for being excited. I remember when my first pre-hires came in how excited I was and especially that first day of CDL class. I was stoked! Keep us posted on how your schooling goes and how it goes with Roehl. :)

Thank you, I know schooling is a few months away but no point in waiting until the last minute to apply / talk to recruiters. I knew that they would hire out of FCCJ over some of the other schools in my area just because of the reviews alone. So I took my time and picked what I figured most company's would want / appeal to them.

Rohel used to have a policy in that if you went to work for them right out of school they would reimburse you your tuition. however, if you did not go with them the first time and went someplace else, and i did not work out there, you could not go back to Rohel and get the tuition reimbursement...

also FYI they also had a policy that if one does not start driving immediately after graduation...?? they make you take the whole course all over again, NO refresher..

at my school a recruiter named Kieth had given his presentation to the class. some were impressed, others were not.

but overall, Rohel IS the BETTER company out there.

Rerun, In all honesty this company is one of my first choices. If possible I will most likely go to their orientation to try and get on with them. Though, I am will weighing any options I might have and not going to jump into one company to soon, I am just stoked that my company of choice offered me a pre-hire and was the first company to do so.

@Soderlund, thank you. Hope everything turns out well for ya.

Congrats bro! I start CDL school next week (pending)... And I got a pre-hire as well (from another company). I am really doing my homework the, and so far this site has been helpful in my quest to "hit the ground running"... There are a lot of ups & downs with all companies from what I am paying attention to. But hey, I just can not wait to get started... Keep us posted..... Right now, my top 3 choices are out of: Werner, Swift, and KLLM (they start you of at .32cpm and offer a great tuition reimbursement after one year with them). Only thing is their benefits suck for the first year... I have yet to see any other school that offers a starting cpm as such.... Just sharing.... Okay peace... Keep us posted, as I will too...

Thank you BigJon, I plan on keeping people updated when I start school. But I will keep a journal for the 8 weeks and post it all after the schooling has ended. I don't start school until August 1st... sooooo long away. Though it allows me time to get prepared.
