Sitting here this weekend in North Carolina has me thinking this would have been a perfect time to have a motorcycle. Beautiful 70* Springtime weather and a weekend of nothing else to do. It's rare if I ever have anything on the upper deck. Getting the bike off and back onto a empty trailer is easy enough. Hopefully I would never sit the weekend loaded, but a simple winch that would mount in the stake pocket is an easy fix.

Who doing it? Lets see a pic of your lift system if you have one.

There is a thread on this from a couple months ago or so somewhere in this section.

Me and the boss have talked about getting scooters and putting them right behind the sleeper. I would use a folding aluminum ramp to get it up there.

I mainly want one to get someplace decent to eat out on the road.

Heck, why bother hauling one around with you on the off chance you MIGHT get to ride it someday? If the urge hits and you have time, google is your friend. A quick search for "motorcycle rentals north carolina" turned up a few hits....this one looks promising with a lot of links to motorcycle rental businesses in that neck of the woods: http://blueridgetravelguide.com/wnc-motorcycle-rentals-and-tours/

Couple bucks and you ride. No extra weight carried around. No taking up valuable space on the trailer. No maintenance to worry about. Don't have to worry about it getting dirty, damaged, stolen, etc.

I had 2 1/2 days to ride this weekend. Then there's the day I could ride out to dinner some evening. Won't be taking up valuable space as it will be on my upper deck

LOL well he copied me then some how, that is a 94 springer I built from a crash insurance sale. 126 inches of rice rocket eater.

My name for it was Azrael, Angel of Death. Loved setting off car alarms.
