Running down the road stop engine light come on pop the pedal to the floor it go out, burn oil bad after a mil, Celect not working,be careful if you drive one the oil pressure never gets north of 40, and they shift like a Detroit, any more q's ask I drove one for over 10 years in a 379 with a 10 speed

I believe thats whats in our 2003 T600. I know its an N14 and if I remember right it says Celect plus on it. Sound right?
It has 800k and change on it. Uses about 1 gallon of oil in 10k miles. Other then that its been flawless and gets awesome fuel mileage.
I should add it uses the oil if your'e doing alot of idling. -
I've seen the metal fuel line that runs alongside the driver's side of the head rub through. The rubber cushion on the clamps holding it wears out, rubbing through if you don't catch it soon enough. Otherwise, I'd use the search feature on this sight, and search N14 PROBLEMS in google, bing, etc.

Have run several, agree with the fuel line on drivers side of head, but that is minor.Current one runs at 38 psi oil pressure, uses no oil.All made it to about 900,000, then I would sell truck. Cummins engines have put a lot of groceries on my table over the years, and I plan on my next one being a Cummins.

Rumors of the main bearing caps fretting, might mean you can't rebuild it. There is a TSB from Cummins on this.
